John Chlada kicks off the first in a series of Environmental Seminars at Envirocorps new facility Thursday March 29th at 6:30PM
   
John K. Chlada has over 33 years experience in the field of environmental management. Mr. Chlada served as the Vice President Environmental Affairs for Perdue Farms Incorporated, $3 billion poultry and agricultural business based in Salisbury, Maryland, and was responsible for all facets of Perdue’s multi-state environmental programs including compliance, policy development, government relations, education and training and community outreach. Prior to joining Perdue, Mr. Chlada spent 22 years with the State of Maryland and its environmental programs, directing operations including compliance enforcement, legislation and regulation development, legislative lobbying and environmental emergency response.

Mr. Chlada serves on the Board of Directors of the Nanticoke Watershed Alliance; Maryland’s Advisory Committee for the Protection and Management of the State’s Water Resources, he has served as the Chairman of the National Poultry Dialogue, on the Board of Directors for the Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay and on the Governor’s Advisory Council for Environmental Justice. He is respected, both inside and outside of the poultry industry, for his leadership, diplomatic and negotiating skills and holistic approach to environmental management. Mr. Chlada has received numerous awards including a Maryland Governor’s Citation for “Service Beyond the Call of Duty” and the U. S. Coast Guard Public Service Commendation.

Mr. Chlada is currently pursuing a career in environmental consulting.
